I am in lazy mood. This will be a quick post. Eric Zachte, a wikipedia analyst, has put out some Wikipedia statistics last week. Because I am a lazy git, I just blog it today.

Interesting facts: It seems Indonesians Wikipedia visitors prefer Indonesian language Wikipedia than English one (50 percent vs 40 percent in the last quarter of last year). Compare and contrast with Malaysians who prefers English Wikipedia (a whopping 81 percent) to any other Wikipedia editions at the same period. Malay gets about 7 percent share from Malaysians, Chinese and Indonesian get 4 and 1.3 percent respectively.

I don’t know how to read this. Is Indonesian language Wikipedia getting better (which is good), or Indonesians are simply incompetent in English?
